Where's Your Goat Tied

There are powerful wisdom in words. We just all have to learn to internalize them.
Some people have been put on this earth to push our buttons, thereby seizing control over us,but they can't get your goat if you don't tell them where it's tied up. And just where do you hide your goat? It all depends on what gets your particular goat-or,shall I say push your buttons the wrong way.

Everyday you decide how you will respond to people and circumstances. you either have enough self-esteem to accept what life throws at you,or you feel the need to retaliate.

The mastery of life is the mastery of self.We all have our hot buttons that when pushed, can cause us to emotionally detonate. However people can only ruin your day(get your goat) if you give them permission. Allow yourself to acknowledge that emotions are attached to setbacks.

When you allow destructive emotions to consume your energy and make you negative, your goat is fully exposed and vulnerable. When you look backward, trying to right wrongs done to you,you become resentful, angry, hateful, and bitter. You cede power to the uncaring perpetrator instead of moving your mind and energies forward.

Hit the delete button on resentment, jealousies, and self-centeredness that consume you the moment someone tries to get your goat-and just let go.This will free your mind to be receptive to any potentially more powerful message and life -changing lessons that could emerge from the experience- and protect your goat from the elements."

First

It's been a week of first. So many pictures of kid's posted on FB of first day back at school;first day of kindergarten;first day of high school;even pictures of new born baby's,mom and dad's first.Beginnings seem to always hold a lot of anticipation, joy and excitement.I wonder if God had those same feelings when He created this world in the beginning and said,"it is good." For everyone who has been part of a new beggining of some sort this week,I pray they can always say with joy in their heart,"it is good."

A DAY OF ANTIQUEING AND PICKING

Spending a day traveling country highways to small hidden towns and communities in a vicinity of my own small town, some of which  seems  time has left behind brought back  a lot of memories....While the rest of society in  my own hometown were lured away by Tax Free Weekend, I enjoyed my day visiting antique shops, and yard sales with my best friend. As we  spoke with each person who either owned the shops or who were conducting  sales  we learned a little about each of them and their interest in their business at hand.
Our purchases were small ,but have great memory value to them. We also  enjoyed the memories and history of each place place we visited.
As we were talking on why people spend time visiting and buying antiques, I drew my own conclusion.
I believe people seek antiquing out for several reasons, memories being the most important.Things of the past hold greater value because they last. They are made better and of greater quality. In our world today everything is disposable. A lot of things are of cheap quality.Things of long ago were made in the U.S.A. Things today are made to  be thrown away,an example of that is T.V.s.Antiquing reminds us of better times, of times when family were of greatest importance. Antiques reminds us of harder times when people worked harder with less. I  have taken upon myself to learn  and carry on some  of the tradition and experience of love ones who have passed on. We garden, raise chickens, grow cows, do canning and prepare recipes of grandmothers  and great grandmothers. I want to pass on these trades  and recipes and stories on to my children.I want to collect things that hold value to me and  pass them on to my boys because I want them to hear and know of better times. I am blessed to be part of the past before our world move into such a fast paste and throw away world.
Yes, you can still find those, who know how to slow down, those who will take time to tell you their stories, those who loves sharing stories of times past...You just have to slow down and take the back highways  and  stop along the way and visit those little communities and shops that  time seems to have left behind.
Everyone, and every antique has a story.............

Bucket List

Bucket List, why do we make them? What purpose do they serve? Why did I make one.Well, I never even heard of a bucket list until I watched the movie" Bucket List."The movie had an impact on me as well as a lot of people because now it seems every other person you talk to has a bucket list...
The reason I decided to make a bucket list was and is for different reasons:
First it's kinda goes along with hope, it's a fulfilment of something I long to do or accomplish while  sometimes a challenge that takes me outside the box that I keep myself in that keeps me from expanding who I am.Things that take me away from my safe place. It's about leaving a memory behind. It's about doing things I probably would never do unless it's on a bucket list. It's about living life to the fullest.
Somethings on my bucket list I have accomplished, some I don't know if I ever will.I will probably add to it.
Bucket list are only important to the persons who are making them....It is always interesting to see other peoples list.... Some people never think about it.......
Here is the beginning of mine......
1.Kiss my best friend in the smokey mountains(done)
2.Go to Alaska(done)
3.Do a Zip Line(done)
4.Ride in a hot air Balloon
5.Take my grand kids on a plane train boat(working on)
6.Take my family to Hawaii
7.Go on a mission trip
8.Grow old with my best friend(working on)
9.Have a job I love(done)interpreter
10.Renew my wedding vows
   to be continued....

Another SEASON

I believe that we  can come across things in life, that we borrow, and don't call our own, that speaks volumes for ourselves when we can't seem to find the words for ourselves. These  are word found that are like a found treasure for me...

William Church hill said;
Pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity:an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
Another words,a person who is a doubter or disbeliever only looks at the negative in a certain situation, while a positive thinker/dreamer/idealist recognizes the negative and knows the positive exceeds the negative because the bigger picture is more rewarding.

I can find myself both depending on a single given day.But I would rather be an optimist.I  try to surround myself with people who care to see a better day, this will keep me optimistic in my life.

In the next season of my life,I want to be more optimistic and seek out new oppertunity..
My motto: for this season of spring cleanning  I will try to find good in everything...

TWO ROADS IN LIFE

My Favorite poem( by, Robert Frost: A ROAD NOT TAKEN,)has, as I have moved into a new season in my life,  brought a clearer understanding of where my life was and the direction it has taken in this new season. I was never intriged by poetry, because for me poetry  always seem to have a deeper meaning which was always difficult for me to understand. When I reached 50, a new season in my life, God put ,A RAOD  NOT TAKEN,before me so I could have a deeper understanding of my life.
I believe everyone has a story.I believe everyone has choices.I believe our choices become a great part of our stories. Our stories and choices eventually define us.Who we were, who we are, and who we become.
The road or the path we take is our choice and it can make the difference of how we live our life and how we leave this life.

LOVE

Love is patient:Love is kind:Love does not envy:Love does not boast:Love is not proud:Love is not rude:Love always trust:Love always hopes:Love never fails: 1 Corth.1
What is love.....
Everyone agrees that love is a good thing. However not all agree on what love is.Is love that warm touchy feeling one gets with a familiar person? The bible says that love is a caring action. It's not what you feel ,it's what you do...
The meaning of love as define in the bible has been corrupted by the common usage of the English language and society. Most often love is confused with infatuation.A erected high feeling one gets that usually last only a year and will diminish unless replaces with true love.
The bible says love is from God ,in fact it says God is love.God has endowed us with the ability to love because we are created in his image, and he is Love.In the Greek language there are two word described and define for love one being agape love. This love is bestowed upon us by God,unconditional and sacrificial. In contrast there is a phileo,a brotherly love, which is  soulish, conditional feeling tied with emotions.
As Christians we are to have both,a soulish, familiar love ,and a spirit filled love, agape love.
When we can discern between the two we will know where we stand with the ones closest to us and where we are in God.Love will change who we are with our understanding and knowledge of who God is and who's image we are created.
AND THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE......

FAITH

Matthew 17:20 Because of your little FAITH,truly I say if you have FAITH like a grain of mustard seed you will say to this mountain move from here to there and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you.

So often because our perceptions are not visible to us we fall week and doubt. We've all heard the story of how an ant can carry hundreds of times his own weight which makes it one of the strongest creatures in the world and that could possibley be a crumb of bread. We can see that and we believe what we see.
With FAITH it's believing in something we can't see.IF we can have FAITH that  of a mustard seed we could move mountains just like that ant can move things of magnatuid..Something so tiny used  by Jesus to show us how great his power is if we just have FAITH....>"You will see when you believe."

HOPE

HOPE IS A GOOD THING-MAYBE THE BEST THING-AND A GOOD THING NEVER DIES

Why do we HOPE?Because some how the present is without charm and there for we project the future where fullfillment is at hand.We all live our lives in HOPE of something better.Without HOPE there is no future to grasp.Without hope we would aimlessy wonder this world in a state nof dismay.
Is there a distinction between hope and expectation? The moment expectation of an outcome arises,HOPE is already there.Pherhaps the sincee in which we use HOPE is for our fullfillment that we have long for, and that we know may never happen(yet with in the realm of possibility, would be so nice to have.)
Hope is the life blood which flows through our being and when there is no HOPE ,there is nothing else.
