A GRAIN OF SAND

We are counted, in comparison, as a grain of sand by God.It's one of those thoughts that make you think,"hummm.""A grain of sand"
For the most part when we talk about sand it brings to mind  a lot of things. Its may tag itself to memories, vacations spent on beautiful white beaches, sand boxes or piles as a child.Always sweeping up sand.White Sands NEW MEXICO..Vacuuming out sand from your car.Sand storms, mouths of sand..Hour glasses, sands of time...Sand castles....,but today as I ponder over a word that the meaning  can take on such a depth of so many things,I think of God's use of the word,:you are numbered as sand...
I am but but one grain of sand in this universe,one..
As I visited an auction this week end and toured through a very beautiful home in East Dallas that once belong to a Dallas Mayor of long ago...I was shaken into the reality of life as I once was as I walked through a home where an estate sale was being conducted.
It brought to my insight the reality of life.We are but a gain of sand and our lives are but a vapor. As I wowed over the beautiful things that once belong to someone who treasured these items and they were a very part of their lives in which made this house into  a home an ery feeling came upon me."This is what happens when a persons life is over.Someone comes behind you an sells the things that made your house a home, things that could identify what kind of person you were.Things, but things that speak volumes. You realize your things only hold sentimental value to you.Oh sometimes there will be some one who will cling to one or two things for valued memories, but who's to say the next generation will. Even though we know we can't take it with us,we really don't think about what will happens to it once we are gone unless you visit an estate sale.
Who are we really in this world,WE ARE BUT A GRAIN OF SAND.It takes one grain of sand to make a beautiful pearl. The pearl is harvested, taken to market, sold for a great price, then handed down from generation to generation, because it has great monetary value, but what about the things that have just sentimental value that are auction off or sold to the best offer. We are a grain of sand among sand and when we are gone there will still be gains of sand...Who will even notice that we are gone? Then I think and have to remember, I am not of this world, and when I am gone the world will go on,my memory will soon leave the minds of most then eventually all,but God said," I count you as Grains of Sands."
